Two suspects arrested in fatal 2013 shooting of local disc jockey

<p>WILKES-BARRE &#8212; A woman was injured when part of the ceiling at Park Market in Nanticoke collapsed on her in January, causing her to be struck with a fluorescent light fixture and paneling, a lawsuit filed Wednesday alleges.</p><p>Carol Evans, 71, of South Prospect Street in Nanticoke, is seeking damages against the East Broad Street butcher shop and store on allegations she suffered head, neck, and back injuries from the falling panels that were &#8220;not properly adhered&#8221; to the area above a rear entrance, according to the complaint filed by attorney Neil T. O&#8217;Donnell in Luzerne County Court.</p><p>Park Market owner Dave Patel did not immediately return a message seeking comment.</p><p>The complaint says the rear entryway and ceiling were defectively designed and violated &#8220;various codes.&#8221;</p><p>Park Market &#8220;carelessly and negligently permitted all of these conditions to exist on their premises, causing Ms. Evans to be stricken and fall to the ground face first,&#8221; the complaint says.</p><p>Evans allegedly suffered injuries that included &#8220;traumatic brain injury,&#8221; and developed post-traumatic stress disorder and panic attacks in the aftermath, according to the complaint.</p><p><ins>For other local stories, <a href="https://www.timesleader.com/local" target="_blank">click here</a>.</ins></p><style>
