<p>Stephen Starinsky, the son of Janine and Steve Starinsky, Duryea, has commissioned into the United States Army as a second lieutenant and will serve as a field artillery officer. He was named a George C. Marshall Award winner and a Distinguished Military Graduate by graduating in the top 5% of all ROTC Cadets across the country. He will serve in the 82nd Airborne Division at Fort Bragg, North Carolina and plans to attend Ranger School. Starinsky graduated summa cum laude from the University of Pittsburgh with a bachelor of science in business administration, with a minor in economics, and completed the PITT Business Certificate Program. He is a 2013 honors graduate of Pittston Area High School, and was a captain on the Patriot football team.</p><style>
