Dallas Township man faces burglary charges

<p>WILKES-BARRE &#8212; A 12-year-old girl was violently pushed by a woman outside a convenience store last weekend, and now the child&#8217;s mother wants justice for her daughter.</p><p>Chere Fuller, 37, of Wilkes-Barre, was at work at a local nursing home Sunday when her daughter and ex-husband walked to the Quick Stop &#8212; across Route 309 from Home Depot &#8212; to get snacks about 4:45 p.m. Sunday. While her daughter, Presley Keeney, was standing outside waiting for her dad, Fuller said a man approached and asked Keeney for something to eat.</p><p>Fuller said her daughter started to give him a piece of beef jerky when the woman &#8212; identified by police as Marlenea Uravage, 29, of Wilkes-Barre &#8212; allegedly pushed the man away then turned and violently shoved Keeney.</p><p>The entire incident was caught on store surveillance. The child was shoved so hard, her head almost struck the store&#8217;s door as she flew backward.</p><p>Store cameras also show Uravage running from the scene.</p><p>&#8220;She said she didn&#8217;t even have time to think when that woman turned around, cursed at her, and pushed her hard in her chin and face,&#8221; Fuller said.</p><p>Fuller said her daughter, who weighs only about 80 pounds, was not injured other than a minor scrape on her hand. She added, however, that Keeney had trouble sleeping, did not want to go to school, and was afraid of walking home alone.</p><p>&#8220;I&#8217;m just completely heartbroken,&#8221; Fuller said. &#8220;I cannot believe someone of her age and size would put her hands on a child like that.&#8221;</p><p>Keeney said the man who approached her &#8220;looked hungry.&#8221;</p><p>&#8220;I wanted to do something nice,&#8221; she told WBRE of offering him one of her snacks. &#8220;I didn&#8217;t want him to starve.&#8221;</p><p>The news station said Uravage was charged with harassment.</p><p>District Judge Thomas Malloy&#8217;s office did not have a criminal complaint available Wednesday, and officials at the Wilkes-Barre City Police Department did not return a call for comment.</p><p>Fuller wants to see Uravage held accountable for her actions.</p><p>&#8220;I just want her to be taken off the street,&#8221; Fuller said.</p><style>
