Police: Pennsylvania man choked new bride during fight over wedding gifts

<p>WILKES-BARRE &#8212; A night of Americana and bluegrass featuring Billy Strings and Trout Steak Revival will take place beginning at 8 p.m. July 13 at the F.M. Kirby Center, 71 Public Square.</p><p>The concert will be part of the Kirby Center&#8217;s Live from the Chandelier Lobby series.</p><p>Twenty-four-year-old Strings brandishes a guitar and banjo, and has a growing profile in the acoustic and bluegrass scenes.</p><p>The Nashville-based singer-songwriter has been invited onstage by acts such as Del McCoury, David Grisman, Larry Keel, Sam Bush and more. He has shared bills with touring acts like Greensky Bluegrass and The Infamous Stringdusters, and has played festivals like Pickathon, Merlefest and Delfest.</p><p>Strings also won the IBMA 2016 Momentum Awards Instrumentalist of the Year for guitar, banjo and mandolin and was voted No. 1 in Bluegrass Situation&#8217;s Top 16 of &#8216;16.</p><p>Mandolin player and vocalist from local bluegrass sextet Cabinet, J.P. Biondo was slated to open the show with a solo performance but will no longer be on the bill.</p><p>Colorado-based quintet Trout Steak Revival will present their blend of Americana and Colorado bluegrass, which has sold out audiences and won them the Telluride Bluegrass Festival Band Competition, as well as an Emmy Award for soundtrack with Rocky Mountain PBS. The group released their most recent album, &#8220;Brighter Every Day,&#8221; in March 2015.</p><p>Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. on June 2 for $20 in advance and $25 on the day of the show, and can be purchased at the Kirby Center box office, online at kirbycenter.org or by phone at 570-826-1100.</p><style>
