W. Market Street in Wilkes-Barre to close for utility work

<p>WILKES-BARRE &#8212; Police are looking for a woman that fled the scene after allegedly hitting a child with her vehicle.</p><p>An officer responded to the area of South Hancock Street at 6:44 p.m. Sunday for a report of a child struck by a vehicle. A 3-year-old juvenile was taken by a private vehicle to the hospital, and the suspect fled the scene, according to police.</p><p>Police said it does not appear the child sustained life-threatening injuries.</p><p>The suspect is described a black female that was driving a smaller, dark blue car.</p><p>Police are asking anyone with information to contact the Wilkes-Barre City Police Department at 570-208-4200.</p><style>
