NANTICOKE &#8212; Luzerne County Community College will hold a &#8216;Refuse to be a Victim&#8217; crime prevention seminar 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., June 24, at the college&#8217;s Public Safety Training Institute, in Nanticoke.The National Rifle Association (NRA) certified seminar will teach methods that can be used to increase awareness and prevention of criminal confrontation. Additional topics include home and phone security, automobile and travel security, personal and technological security, self-defense devices and training options and the psychology of the criminal mind.The seminar will be presented by Charles Hentz, retired lieutenant from the Philadelphia Police Department.Cost for the seminar is $25.
