Police: Suspects stole nearly $800 in clothing from Kohl’s in Wilkes-Barre Township

<p>WILKES-BARRE &#8212; The area&#8217;s average gas has dropped to the lowest it has been in over 70 days.</p><p>Tuesday&#8217;s average gas price in Wilkes-Barre was $2.50 per gallon, down 4 cents from a week ago and 8 cents from a month ago.</p><p>AAA Mid-Atlantic spokeswoman Jana Tidwell explained that the lower prices are due to an unexpected building up crude oil, along with ongoing high gasoline production runs, and increase in gasoline stocks, and a drop in demand.</p><p>&#8220;This is welcome news for motorists planning on hitting the road during the summer driving season,&#8221; she said.</p><p>If refiners continue to produce record amounts of gasoline and oversupply the market, consumers will reap the benefit and see slight fluctuations in gasoline prices in coming weeks, according to AAA. However, AAA says it is not likely that gas prices will drop much lower than this week&#8217;s prices.</p><style>
