<p>PITTSTON TWP. &#8212; A multiple-vehicle crash in the southbound lanes of Interstate 81 caused traffic to back up Friday afternoon.</p><p>The wreck occurred at approximately 2:30 p.m. around mile marker 178, which is the interchange for the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton International Airport.</p><p>Traffic was backed up to the Central Scranton Expressway while rescuers worked the scene. Vehicles finally began to move better by the time they got to the Pittston exit.</p><p>The crash was cleared by about 4:30 p.m., according to WNEP&#8217;s website.</p><style>
