Spanish contest winners honored at King’s

<p>Matthew McGloin, starting quarterback for the Nittany Lions 2010-2012, will be guest speaker at the Hazleton Chapter of the Penn State Alumni Association&#8217;s annual business meeting dinner 6-8 p.m., July 11, at Sand Springs Country Club, Drums. The event is open to the public. McGloin is a Scranton native and a 2012 Penn State alumnus with a bachelor&#8217;s degree in journalism and telecommunications. A meet-and-greet with alumni and friends of Penn State Hazleton will be held 6 to 7 p.m. There will be a buffet-style dinner, prizes and auction items available, including Penn State clothing and memorabilia and a football autographed by Coach James Franklin. The cost is $30 for chapter members and $35 for non-members. Reservations and payment required by July 5. Make checks payable to Greater Hazleton Chapter of the PSAA, send to Penn State Hazleton &#8211; Annual Dinner, c/o Rocco Formica, P.O. Box 2624, Hazleton, PA 18201. Proceeds benefit the Greater Hazleton Chapter Academic Award, supporting Hazleton area students.</p><style>
