<p>Jonah Astolfi went 4 for 5 while Drew Mruk homered and tripled for Exeter in a 17-7 win over Swoyersville on Saturday in District 31 Little League major baseball pool play.</p><p>Jack Mathis picked up the win on the mound. Ryan Meyers (double, triple) and Dominic Cavuto both went 2 for 3 for Swoyersville.</p><p><strong>Back Mountain National 2,</strong></p><p><strong>Wyoming/West Wyoming 1</strong></p><p>Cole Morio had two hits and drove in Cole Kaiser for both of Back Mountain National&#8217;s runs. Kaiser added a double while Gary Weaver (four) and Joe Shiskowski (six) combined for 10 strikeouts.</p><p>Hunter Lawalla hit a home run for Wyoming/West Wyoming and struck out nine on the mound.</p><p><strong>Northwest 3,</strong></p><p><strong>West Pittston 1</strong></p><p>Rick Hynick struck out 13 and gave up no earned runs for Northwest. Taylor Yaple hit a two-run homer in the third inning and scored Derek Pierontoni, who reached on a bunt.</p><p>West Pittston&#8217;s Sean Petroski finished with nine strikeouts.</p><p><strong>Harveys Lake 14,</strong></p><p><strong>West Side 0</strong></p><p>Nicholas Hockenbury threw a four-inning no-hitter for Harveys Lake.</p><p>Leading the offense were Corey Bean, Cole Oberst, Hockenbury, Travis Jones, Billy Jesso, Jake Hynick and Bo Voelker.</p><p><strong>DISTRICT 16</strong></p><p><strong>MAJOR BASEBALL</strong></p><p><strong>Plains 10,</strong></p><p><strong>North Wilkes-Barre 0</strong></p><p>Sean Monahan finished with six hits, clubbing two home runs while also hitting for the cycle in a four-inning victory. Ryan Novakowski and Ben Kenzakoski combined on a no-hitter, striking out six apiece.</p><p>Drew Menendez (six hits, home run), Jeffrey Kozerski (five hits, two home runs), Braden Cook (five hits), Novakowski (four hits, home run), Jason Prudente (four hits, home run) all had big days at the plate.</p><p><strong>Mountain Top 29,</strong></p><p><strong>Hanover 15</strong></p><p>Mountain Top racked up 29 hits, getting home runs from Grant Rose (grand slam), Nick Miscavage and Joe Moratori.</p><p>Hanover finished with 10 hits and two home runs.</p><p><strong>DISTRICT 31</strong></p><p><strong>JUNIOR SOFTBALL</strong></p><p><strong>Kingston/Forty Fort 11,</strong></p><p><strong>Northwest 0</strong></p><p>Jess Skladzien tossed a one-hitter and struck out 10 to lead Kingston/Forty Fort. Julia Franks finished 3 for 4 with a home run and Sara Hoskins tripled twice. Gabby Razillas and Morgan Shedletski had two hits apiece.&#8212;</p><p>Alaina Carle singled for Northwest.</p><style>
