MOOSIC &#8212; There&#8217;s really only one thing Miguel Andujar hadn&#8217;t done since his promotion from Double-A on Monday. Hit for power.The Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders third baseman was sporting a .353 in five Triple-A games heading into the series finale against the Pawtucket Red Sox, but only had one extra-base hit and was still waiting for his first home run. That changed Sunday.With Clint Frazier standing on first base with one out in the second inning, Andujar sent a 2-0 fastball into the Red Sox&#8217;s bullpen to put the RailRiders (46-29) on the board in what would prove to be a 10-9 victory over Pawtucket (35-38).&#8220;(I) go to the plate looking for a good pitch (I) can hit, (I) can drive the ball,&#8221; Andujar said through a translator. &#8220;(I) just got a pitch middle-in (I) was looking for and (I) was luckily the ball went out because (I) hit a line drive that (I) thought was going to hit the wall. Since (I&#8217;ve) got here (I&#8217;m) just trying the best I can to swing at strikes.&#8221;Andujar continued impress Sunday.The 22-year-old was 2 for 5 with a home run, two runs scored and two RBI and each one of his hits were lasers. He was tested often in the field as well, and passed every time.&#8220;He&#8217;s been adjusting. I think he&#8217;s done a good job so far,&#8221; RailRiders manager Al Pedrique said. &#8220;We&#8217;re going to see more good stuff out of him because he&#8217;s very excited, he loves to play the game, he has fun and you can tell he&#8217;s relaxed out there.Jacoby Ellsbury made his mark in his second rehab game with the RailRiders.The New York Yankees center fielder played nine innings as the designated hitter and made an impact in almost every at-bat. He was 2 for 5 with a double, run scored and two RBI. Ellsbury&#8217;s third-inning, ground-rule double broke open a 2-2 game.Ellsbury hit an RBI single to right in what was a six-run sixth inning as well.&#8220;It was nice getting five (at-bats), running the bases and I felt comfortable out there,&#8221; Ellsbury said. &#8220;I felt my timing was a little bit better today. Felt comfortable in the box, put some good swings on balls, but, yeah, the main thing&#8217;s just feeling better and I&#8217;ll let (the Yankees) know when I talk to them a little bit later on today.&#8221;Ellsbury is expected to join Double-A Trenton in time for the Thunder&#8217;s game against Richmond on Monday. However, with Yankees outfielder Aaron Hicks leaving Sunday&#8217;s game early with an injury, the plan could change. Hicks said after the game that he has an oblique issue and that he&#8217;s going to go on the disabled list for likely three to four weeks.The 33-year-old outfielder was 3 for 8 with two doubles, a run scored, a stolen base and two RBI in two games with Scranton/Wilkes-Barre.&#8220;We&#8217;ll see. I&#8217;ll talk to them shortly, just to let them know everything went well and we&#8217;ll go from there,&#8221; Ellsbury said. &#8220;I&#8217;ll tell them I felt good today and I&#8217;ll let them decide.&#8221;Bryan Mitchell notched his first quality start of the season, along with his first Triple-A win, in what was a strong six-inning outing.The right-hander was able to bounce back from a two-run third inning to retire the final 10 batters he faced. He finished with nine strikeouts while giving up just three hits.&#8220;I was just so close to getting out of it right there and just said, &#8216;Whatever,&#8217; and got back on it just like the first couple of innings,&#8221; Mitchell said about the difference between the third and fourth, fifth and sixth innings.Pawtucket made things interesting in the top of the ninth as RailRiders reliever J.R. Graham imploded to give up six runs, including a two-out, three-run home run off the bat of Pawtucket right fielder Bryce Brentz to make it a 10-9 ball game.But just as Pawtucket started to pick up steam, with the tying run at the plate, Matt Wotherspoon came in and shut the door. The Crestwood grad struck out Red Sox first baseman Allen Craig on four pitches to pick up his first Triple-A save of the season.&#8220;That&#8217;s what I told him when I gave him the ball,&#8221; Pedrique said of Wotherspoon staying aggressive despite the score. &#8220;&#8216;Go right after them. Don&#8217;t be nibbling. Attack the zone early.&#8217; And that&#8217;s what he did. He threw some good fastballs &#8212; the first two fastballs down in the zone.
