King’s students to experience short-term study abroad in Spain

WILKES-BARRE &#8212; King&#8217;s College students and local residents volunteered to be part of a week-long SpringSERVE (Students Engaged in Reflective Volunteer Experiences) trip through the Shoval Center for Community Engagement and Learning.Spoorthy Challa, Plains; Michael Cipriani, West Wyoming; and Cory Tobin, Pittston, participated in a trip to My Brother&#8217;s Keeper in Easton, Massachusetts. Volunteers collected and made deliveries of furniture and food to families in need.Michael Boris, Dallas; Keirstin Lasher, Harding; Max Rodriguez, Wilkes-Barre; and Audrey Williams, Kingston, participated in a trip to McClure, Virginia. The group worked with the Binns Counts Center and the McClure River Valley Community Development Center, Inc. Volunteers performed home repairs for low-income families.
