Cops: Hanover Township drug raid nets 500 packets of heroin

<p>HARRISBURG &#8212; Four people who were previously deported were indicted by a federal grand jury Wednesday and charged with illegal re-entry into the United States.</p><p>Two of them &#8212; Jose Arguelles-Varillas and Maximino Mota-Ortiz &#8212; were found in Luzerne County, according to U.S. Attorney Bruce D. Brandler.</p><p>Arguelles-Varillas, 53, a citizen of Mexico, was previously deported in May 2012. Mota-Ortiz, 43, a citizen of the Dominican Republic, was deported in May 1997.</p><p>Arguelles-Varillas was convicted in Utah for child abuse and attempted forcible sexual abuse, authorities say. Mota-Ortiz was convicted in Massachusetts for trafficking a controlled substance. They both face a maximum penalty of 10 years in prison.</p><p>Meanwhile, Jose Perez-Verdugo, 37, a citizen of Mexico, was deported to Mexico in August 2008, September 2013 and March 2014. He was found in Dauphin County. He faces two years in prison.</p><p>The fourth man charged, Francisco Michaca-Dominguez, 41, a citizen of Mexico, was deported several times previously, the first time in January 2006. He was found in Monroe County after being arrested for a summary offense. Michaca-Dominguez also faces two years behind bars.</p><style>
