<p>KINGSTON &#8212; Two people were arrested on drug charges after they allegedly sold heroin and crack cocaine to a person working with police.</p><p>Charles Hackley, 26, of Philadelphia, and Gabriell Laimo, 26, of Edwardsville, were implicated in drug deals July 5, July 7, and Tuesday, authorities report.</p><p>Hackley was arrested after a brief foot chase.</p><p>Here are more details from criminal complaints:</p><p>Officers working as members of the Luzerne County Drug Task Force used a confidential informant to buy heroin or crack cocaine from Hackley and Laimo.</p><p>During the controlled purchase Tuesday, the informant told police Laimo had to contact her supplier to find heroin that was hidden inside a couch cushion.</p><p>Kingston Police Chief Michael Krzywicki said officers were serving a warrant at a residence at 206 Zerby Ave. at about 2:15 p.m. Wednesday when a vehicle containing Laimo and Hackley arrived. Laimo remained in the vehicle, but Hackley fled on foot.</p><p>Police departments from the West Side conducted a search, and Hackley was apprehended in a backyard on Pringle Street, Krzywicki said.</p><p>Meanwhile, Laimo identified Hackley as her supplier.</p><p>Hackley and Laimo each face charges that include manufacture, delivery, or possession of drugs with intent to deliver and criminal use of a communication facility.</p><p>They were each arraigned before District Judge David Barilla on Wednesday. They are scheduled for preliminary hearings before District Judge Diana Malast at 9 a.m. July 26.</p><p>Hackley and Laimo are each jailed at the Luzerne County Correctional Facility for lack of bail.</p><style>
