Judge set to hear lawsuit regarding Berks County school’s transgender policy

<p>I am writing concerning the sentencing of the brutal murderer Jessie Con-ui.</p><p>He was convicted of murder in Arizona and has a long, violent record, including beating other prisoners. This soulless brutal killer stabbed corrections officer Eric Williams more than 200 times, kicked and beat him and took a break during this blood-thirsty, ferocious attack before resuming this merciless murder.</p><p>During this break, he took chewing gum from the pocket of the dying officer and enjoyed it. He then had a drink before continuing. The jurors watched a video of the killing. He initially said he did it because he was disrespected and later changed his story to he didn&#8217;t know why he did it.</p><p>An article in the Times Leader quoted a recently released prisoner who knew Con-ui as saying Con-ui committed the murder so he would remain in federal custody and not be shipped to Arizona to serve a life sentence.</p><p>One lone juror held out to allow him his wish. This juror finally admitted that she did it because she had a son in jail. She has not only put every prison employee &#8212; local, state and federal &#8212; in danger but also prisoners serving with this ruthless murderer and others like him.</p><p>My heart goes out to the Williams&#8217; family and friends.</p><p><strong>Charles Mangan</strong></p><p>Kingston</p><style>
