<p>WILKES-BARRE &#8212; Police say shots were fired into a residence on South Welles Street, marking the fourth incident of its kind within city limits in less than a week.</p><p>A male resident reported to police at 11:32 p.m. Tuesday that he was sitting on his bed on the second floor when a bullet was fired at his house.</p><p>It ended up lodged into a nearby wall, missing the 63-year-old man by approximately 20 inches, authorities report.</p><p>Police said the victim&#8217;s wife was also home at the time, but no one inside was hurt.</p><p>The shooting marks the fourth in Wilkes-Barre since last Friday:</p><p>&#8226; On July 14, shots were reportedly fired <a href="https://www.timesleader.com/news/local/667588/police-shots-fired-into-a-wilkes-barre-residence-early-friday-morning" target="_blank">into a residence on East Northampton Street</a> at 1:53 a.m. Police said a total of four people, including an infant, were inside at the time. No injuries were reported.</p><p>&#8226; At 1:45 p.m. Saturday, July 15, shots were fired into a residence on South Grant Street, police say. Witnesses reported seeing two men shooting multiple times before fleeing. Again, no one was hurt.</p><p>&#8226; On Sunday night, shots were reported at a home on Dana Street.</p><style>
