Hazleton man gets up to 10 years for weapons charges

<p>PITTSTON &#8212; An SUV crashed into two houses on Oak Street on Thursday morning, ripping off the front porch of one and doing damage to another, officials say.</p><p>The driver &#8212; the sole occupant of the vehicle &#8212; was trapped inside and had to be freed, according to the Pittston Township Fire Department.</p><p>Rescuers from that department helped remove the driver&#8217;s-side door and then get the driver ready for transport to a hospital.</p><p>The vehicle involved sustained heavy damage. Its hood was crumpled and the windshield appeared to be smashed.</p><p>A post on the Facebook page for Luzerne County Fire Companies said there were no serious injuries.</p><p>No further information was available at press time.</p><style>
