<p>If you&#8217;re from Ann Arbor, Michigan, now&#8217;s the time to take a well-deserved bow.</p><p>Ann Arbor topped the list of &#8220;Most Educated Cities&#8221; in a recent in-depth analysis by personal finance website WalletHub.</p><p>Meanwhile, Northeast Pennsylvania &#8212; more specifically, the Scranton, Wilkes-Barre and Hazleton metropolitan statistical area &#8212; ranked toward the bottom of the pack. The region placed 129th overall in the study that reviewed the 150 largest MSAs in the country.</p><p>Areas were ranked across nine key metrics &#8212; share of adults ages 25 and older with a bachelor&#8217;s degree or higher to racial education gap to quality of public school systems.</p><p>Following Ann Arbor as &#8220;Most Educated&#8221; on the list:</p><p>2. Washington, D.C.</p><p>3. San Jose, California</p><p>4. Durham, North Carolina</p><p>5. Madison, Wisconsin</p><p>The five &#8220;Least Educated&#8221; towns were all out West. Those earning the dubious distinction:</p><p>146. Modesto, California</p><p>147. Bakersfield, California</p><p>148. Visalia, California</p><p>149 Brownsville, Texas</p><p>150.
