<p>HAZLETON &#8212; Two people were arrested Wednesday on second-degree homicide and arson charges in connection with a fatal fire at a city residence last year, police announced.</p><p>Thomas McQueen, 65, and Alice Reimiller, 53, both of Hazleton, are accused of setting fire to the East Mine Street residence where the body of Gordon Wanser was later discovered. Police said Wanser, 58, of Hazleton, died of smoke inhalation.</p><p>City fire crews responded to 104 E. Mine St. &#8212; listed as Reimiller&#8217;s address &#8212; for a report of a working structure fire on March 9, 2016. Wanser&#8217;s body was recovered, and it was determined following an investigation that the deadly blaze was intentionally set, according to police.</p><p>McQueen and Reimiller were taken into custody by city police Wednesday. They face charges of second-degree murder, arson, and related counts. Both are being held without bail at the Luzerne County Correctional Facility.</p><p>In a statement, police Chief Jerry Speziale said collaboration between state, county and local officials brought the investigation to &#8220;a successful conclusion.&#8221;</p><style>
