<p>In a survey done by LendEDU of the average credit score of towns in Pennsylvania, some Luzerne County communities fared better than others.</p><p>The survey examined just short of 1,000 Pennsylvania towns (999, to be exact), all with populations of 1,000 people or more.</p><p>Out of the 999 communities surveyed, the Luzerne County town with the highest average credit score is Sugarloaf, ranked at number 44, with an average score of 753.</p><p>For context, the highest ranked town on the list is Washington Crossing in Bucks County, with a score of 770.</p><p>Dallas was ranked at number 223, with an average score of 726, while Pittston was at position 793 with an average score of 683.</p><p>Six Luzerne County communities were in the bottom 100 of average credit scores in the state, including Nanticoke (number 904, with an average score of 674), Wilkes-Barre (number 937, with an average score of 669) and Hazleton (number 965, with an average score of 657).</p><p>Glen Lyon was the Luzerne County community with the lowest average credit score, coming in at number 985 with a score of 637.</p><p>But which community in the state had the lowest average credit score?</p><p>That was Chester in Delaware County, with an average score 552.</p><p>To find your community if it wasn&#8217;t mentioned here, see LinkEDU&#8217;s <a href="https://lendedu.com/blog/ranking-pennsylvania-towns-cities-credit-score/" target="_blank">full list</a>.</p><style>
