<p>Holy Resurrection Orthodox Cathedral, Wilkes-Barre, will celebrate it&#8217;s 125th anniversary with a commemoration the weekend of Oct. 28, culminating with a banquet, Oct. 29, at AppleTree Terrace, Dallas. The church was founded in 1892 by Father Alexis G. Toth as a place of worship for immigrants from Eastern Europe. He was elevated to Sainthood by the Orthodox Church in America and is known as Saint Alexis, of Wilkes-Barre. Father Timothy Creemens, pastor, stands with Natalie Gripp, chairperson of the planning committee.</p><style>
