Tom and Marie (Dorrance) Hartz celebrate 50th wedding anniversary

WILKES-BARRE &#8212; Join the Greater Wilkes-Barre Chamber of Commerce on the golf course 11 a.m., Aug. 7, at the Wyoming Valley Country Club, Wilkes-Barre. The Chamber&#8217;s Annual Golf Tournament, presented by Sundance Vacations, will begin with a shotgun start and registration will open at 10 a.m.Business leaders from across the region will participate in this tournament, which includes a round of golf, lunch, a cocktail hour and a dinner reception. The event will feature a day on the course for all participants, followed by an indoor/outdoor cocktail hour and a variety of food stations.Activities, raffle items and prizes will be available throughout the day, including the annual hole-in-one competition, which is sponsored by MotorWorld Automotive Group. Gold sponsors for this event include UGI Utilities, ESSA Bank &amp; Trust and Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield.Participants are asked to bring canned goods, which will be donated to the Weinberg Food Bank.
