Tom Salvo named circulation director for Times Leader Media Group

<p>WILKES-BARRE &#8212; Greg Collins, who served since 2009 as Wells Fargo&#8217;s community bank area president for Northeast Pennsylvania, will retire at the end of September.</p><p>Until that time, Collins will continue serving the company, working to ensure a smooth transition of leadership across the region.</p><p>A 25-year company veteran, Collins led more than 300 team members and oversaw the operations of 37 Wells Fargo branch banking offices across nine counties. Previously, he served the bank in leadership roles in Northeast Pennsylvania and the Lehigh Valley.</p><p>Wico van Genderen, chief executive officer at the Greater Wilkes-Barre Chamber, said Collins has had a strong impact on the area.</p><p>&#8220;Greg clearly leaves behind a legacy of achievement and dedication to the community,&#8221; van Genderen said in an emailed statement. &#8220;While I have only been a part of this community for a short time, I feel like I have known Greg as a community advocate, business partner and close friend all my life. And for this community, Greg has dedicated his life and career to the valley, and through his leadership roles has invested and supported the community in a host of causes, charities and philanthropic activities. His retirement will leave a gap which will be truly hard to replace.&#8221;</p><p>Collins serves as a member of the board of trustees at Misericordia University, and as a board member of the Greater Wilkes-Barre Chamber of Business and Industry, Leadership Wilkes-Barre, the Wilkes-Barre YMCA, the Wilkes-Barre General Hospital and the United Way of Wyoming Valley.</p><p>In 2015, he chaired the American Heart Association Gala for Northeastern PA. He was the recipient of the 2015 North Star Award from the Northeastern PA Council Boy Scouts of America, the 2015 Distinguished Leadership Award from Leadership Wilkes-Barre and the 2015 Community Service Award from the Salvation Army.</p><p>A northeast Pennsylvania native, Collins received his bachelor of science from Misericordia University. He is a 2010 graduate of Leadership Wilkes-Barre&#8217;s Executive Leadership Program, and is a 4th-degree member of the Knights of Columbus.</p><style>
