<p>FREELAND &#8212; Three suspects are in custody in connection with an ongoing arson and firearms investigation after two borough properties and three vehicles were raided Monday.</p><p>Local and state law enforcement officials along with agents from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives served federal search warrants.</p><p>Taken into custody Monday afternoon were Roberto Torner and Liza Robles in connection to fires in 2014 and 2016, officials said.</p><p>Officials say they recovered numerous items of evidence at the two properties that belong to Torner.</p><p>A third suspect &#8212; David Alzugary, an employee of Torner&#8217;s &#8212; also was arrested on narcotics charges for the alleged delivery of heroin.</p><p>The ATF conducted the investigation in a joint effort with the Luzerne Country Drug Task Force, state police, and three other local police departments.</p><p>It was a harrowing experience for some neighbors of those arrested.</p><p>&#8220;The next thing I know, someone&#8217;s pounding on the door, and I yelled, &#8216;Hey, I have a son in here, my 4-year-old&#8217;s next to me,&#8217; and the door came flying open and they came in with rifles. So, pretty scary,&#8221; said Donald Warren, of Freeland.</p><p>Albert Stefanik, of Stefanik&#8217;s Music Center, said he &#8220;kind of had an idea something would happen eventually. Cause it&#8217;s the rumors, and everything that&#8217;s been going on. So, it&#8217;s just a matter of time.&#8221;</p><p>&#8220;It&#8217;s a bit surprising, you know, alarming a little bit, cause this is such a quiet, little town,&#8221; said Berni Clark, of Freeland. &#8220;Maybe not as quiet as you might think.&#8221;</p><style>
