<p>The Wilkes- Barre Crime Watch would like to suggest residents follow these simple steps, so if they should become a burglary victim, they would be able to quickly describe their stolen property.</p><p>The program is called Operation I.D.</p><p>Make a list of all serial numbers on valuables and electronics. Mark property or valuables with an identifying mark, preferably your driver&#8217;s license number with state abbreviation. The items can then be traced to the rightful owner with relative ease.</p><p>If the burglar is caught with marked property, it is solid evidence of possession of stolen goods. Of course, some items cannot be marked, and we suggest a photograph or video of these items. After marking your property and recording the serial numbers, make a list of your valuables and keep a copy of the list in a safe place.</p><p>Wilkes-Barre Community Policing Officer Robert Collins will be presenting this program at all Crime Watch meetings throughout the city in September.</p><p><strong>Charlotte Raup</strong></p><p>President, Wilkes- Barre Crime Watch Coalition</p><style>
