Hazleton council OKs liquor license transfer over neighbors’ objections

Our View: College accreditation critical for many reasons

<p>TUNKHANNOCK &#8212; Gov. Tom Wolf kicked off a series of visits to 14 counties Wednesday with stops in Jim Thorpe, Carbon County; Tunkhannock, Wyoming County; Montrose, Susquehanna County; and Dushore, Sullivan County.</p><p>The governor&#8217;s first stop was Jim Thorpe, where he toured the D&amp;L Pedestrian Bridge, Asa Packer Mansion, and several downtown businesses, including the Gem Shop.</p><p>Wolf then stopped in Tunkhannock for a walking tour and a discussion with members of the Wyoming County Chamber of Commerce, where the governor listened to business owners&#8217; issues and ideas regarding workforce training, expansion, and support.</p><p>The governor also visited Endless Mountains Hospital in Montrose where he met with administrators, staff, and board members.</p><p>On Thursday, the governor will visit Bradford, Tioga, Cameron, and Potter counties. Stops on Friday and Saturday include McKean, Warren, Forest, Elk, Jefferson, and Clearfield counties.</p><style>
