<p>DUNMORE &#8212; It&#8217;s not even October yet, but that Halloweenish season of the dead is already starting to rev up, especially if you talk to Rudy Caporaso from REV Theatre.</p><p>Fresh from a performance at the Laurel Hill Cemetery in Philadelphia, Caporaso and cast-mates Sandy D&#8217;Oria and Hannah Wolff will be popping out from behind tombstones at Forest Hill Cemetery, 1830 Jefferson Ave., to sing their way through &#8220;Death Is A Cabaret Ol&#8217; Chum: A Graveyard Cabaret.&#8221;</p><p>Performances are set for 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and admission is $15 for adults and $10 for seniors and students.</p><p>Not that you&#8217;d want to bring very young students.</p><p>While Caporaso and Rosey Hay, his co-artistic director in the New York City-based REV Theatre, have helped children and teens stage shows based on pirates, fairy tales and other kid-friendly subjects in a Scranton neighborhood center over the past few summers, this show has more of a PG-13 rating.</p><p>&#8220;It&#8217;s not horror film-centric by any means,&#8221; Caporaso said.</p><p>But there is a touch of the risque, along with a dose of the macabre and a message he describes as &#8220;Enjoy yourself; it&#8217;s later than you think.&#8221;</p><p>Songs you can expect to hear include &#8220;Cemetery Blues,&#8221; which mentions a date with a spook; Cole Porter&#8217;s &#8220;Miss Otis Regrets,&#8221; which offers a violent reason for why &#8220;Miss Otis&#8221; can&#8217;t do lunch, and &#8220;Bang! Bang! (My Baby Shot Me Down),&#8221; which Sonny &amp; Cher made famous.</p><p>&#8220;The song was a metaphor for a relationship that died,&#8221; Caporaso said of the last number. &#8220;But the way we do it, we might be portraying a murder.&#8221;</p><p>Caporaso and Hay believe it&#8217;s important to stage the three-person show in a genuine graveyard.</p><p>&#8220;I think of the cemetery as being a fourth character in this,&#8221; Caporaso said.</p><p>The show is aimed at an audience of &#8220;people who are adventurous and open-minded and really looking for a unique experience, a gosh-darned fun evening out,&#8221; Caporaso said.</p><p>Audience members are encouraged to bring chairs or blankets to sit on, and food is permitted.</p><p>&#8220;Alcohol isn&#8217;t allowed in the cemetery, Caporaso said, &#8220;but there&#8217;s no reason why you couldn&#8217;t bring a liverwurst sandwich.&#8221;</p><p>For reservations or information, call 917-405-2173 or 646-326-7950.</p><style>
