<p>Maternal and Family Health Services (MFHS) announces they are a recipient of a grant from the AllOne Foundation. The grant funds technology upgrades and support for the agency&#8217;s launch of electronic medical records.</p><p>MFHS provides services to over 100,000 individuals annually across Northeast Pennsylvania through a network of programs that includes: Reproductive Healthcare, the Women, Infants &amp; Children Nutrition (WIC) program, the HealthyWoman Cancer Screening program, the Nurse-Family Partnership program, and the Healthy Beginnings Plus prenatal program. This project will directly improve the care and service of the women, men and teens who depend on MFHS for reproductive health care and the women and infants serviced through their prenatal care programs.</p><p><ins>&#8220;As today&#8217;s evolving medical environment depends more on electronic-based data for practice and care decisions, the use of Electronic Health Records is critical in improving timeliness, accuracy of patient information, and coordination of care,&#8221; says Bette Cox Saxton, MFHS President and CEO. </ins></p><p><ins>The ability of a provider to have one-click access to a patient record increases the ability to coordinate care among providers, make timely decisions related to patient diagnosis and treatment, keep the patient readily informed, provide a positive experience, and improve health outcomes. </ins></p><p><ins>&#8220;MFHS thanks the AllOne Foundation for supporting the launch of our electronic health record system,&#8221; says Saxton, &#8220;This grant will help us improve our patients care and their experience when they visit MFHS offices.&#8221;</ins></p><p>Pictured: Jean Simonton, AllOne Foundation executive assistant; John Cosgrove, AllOne Foundation executive director, Bette Cox Saxton, MFHS president and CEO; and John Kearney, MFHS vice president of program services and business initiatives.</p><style>
