‘Chalk’ing up good times at the River Common

<p>The Times Leader was recently honored by the Pennsylvania NewsMedia Association for how it uses photography on its pages.</p><p>The newspaper won first-place honors in Division III of the Newspaper of the Year contest for Best Use of Photography.</p><p>The contest required the Times Leader to submit two complete issues &#8212; one from March 2017 and one from June 2017. The editions were then judged on use of photos throughout the paper.</p><p>Division III is for multi-day publications with circulations between 20,000 and 39,999.</p><style>
