‘War zone’: Police describe Walmart shooting scene as trial continues

<p>FORTY FORT &#8212; Residents across the Wyoming Valley can participate in an upcoming electronics-recycling event at the Luzerne County soccer fields in Forty Fort.</p><p>It&#8217;s set for Thursday, Nov. 2, from 3-6 p.m.</p><p>Those who want to recycle need to pre-register with their municipality and purchase a tag, which will cost $25 per car, truck or SUV. No commercial vehicles over .75 tons will be allowed.</p><p>In a press release, state Rep. Aaron Kaufer, R-Kingston, listed these municipalities as taking part in the event:</p><p>&#8226; Edwardsville (Call 570-288-6484 for a tag.)</p><p>&#8226; Exeter (570-654-3001)</p><p>&#8226; Forty Fort (570-287-8586)</p><p>&#8226; Kingston (570-288-4576)</p><p>&#8226; Luzerne (570-287-7633)</p><p>&#8226; Plymouth (570-779-1011)</p><p>&#8226; West Wyoming (570-693-1311)</p><p>&#8226; Wyoming (570-693-0291)</p><p>One television or computer monitor will be accepted per tag. Damaged televisions or monitors with cracked screens will not be accepted.</p><p>Accepted items include answering machines, CD players, camcorders, cameras, cell phones, cordless phones, copiers, DVD players, duplicators, fax machines, Gameboys, hard drives, laptops, mainframe computer equipment, microwaves, MP3 players, modems, Nintendo consoles, pagers, personal computers, PlayStation consoles, printers, radios, remote controls, tape players, satellite receivers, scanners, shredders, speakers, stereos, telephones, typewriters, VCRs, video games, VHS tapes and Xbox systems.</p><p>For more information, call Kaufer&#8217;s district office at 570-283-1001.
