<p>WILKES-BARRE &#8212;A man already wanted for a felony was arrested for assaulting a female in a domestic dispute Tuesday, officers say.</p><p>Police responded to a report of an altercation involving physical violence on West River Street shortly before 1 p.m. Officers knocked down the door of the apartment and found the victim, a 19-year-old female, screaming for help.</p><p>The home was in disarray and there were evident signs that the victim had been choked and hit, according to authorities.</p><p>She said Michael Mejia, 20, had been hitting and pushing her for an hour and he wouldn&#8217;t let her call for help or leave the apartment, police say.</p><p>Mejia was arrested and then found to have a federal warrant and a felony warrant from New Jersey.</p><style>
