Man killed by Fish and Boat officer had history of run-ins with law

<p>EXETER &#8212; A man is in critical condition after he was shot in the chest late Tuesday night.</p><p>State Police say Austin John Naples, 21, was dropped off at the Wilkes-Barre General Hospital just before midnight Tuesday with a .22-caliber gunshot wound to his upper chest.</p><p>According to a police report:</p><p>The Exeter man was dropped off at the hospital by a friend in a private vehicle.</p><p>Naples&#8217; friend told State Police that three males pulled up outside the victim&#8217;s Birchwood Estates home between 11 and 11:30 p.m.</p><p>One of the males produced a handgun, firing a shot into Naples&#8217; chest.</p><p>The three males fled the scene before Naples&#8217; friend drove him to the hospital.</p><p>Naples is currently in the Intensive Care Unit at Wilkes-Barre General Hospital with severe lung damage.</p><p>Investigators believe the incident was not random.</p><p>Police say more information will be made available when a suspect is named or in custody.</p><style>
