<p>PITTSTON &#8212; A double-block residence on Searle Street was damaged in a fire Wednesday afternoon, but officials said no one was injured.</p><p>The blaze started about 2 p.m. at 96 Searle, according to Pittston City Assistant Fire Chief William Williams. He said the initial dispatch was for smoke and flames coming from first-floor windows.</p><p>Williams said the home was being used as a rental property. The left side of the residence sustained damaged to both of its floors and outside walls. There was some structural damage, but officials believe the house is salvageable.</p><p>Meanwhile, the other side of the home at 98 Searle sustained heavy smoke damage. Williams said no one occupied that side of the property.</p><p>The cause of the blaze is under investigation by State Police, he noted.</p><style>
