Wilkes-Barre fire chief: Opioid epidimic ‘worst’ he’s ever seen

<p>LEHMAN TWP. &#8212; The search for a Nanticoke man who went missing last Thursday in the area of Lake Silkworth has been postponed until Saturday, according to the fire chief.</p><p>This comes after Lehman Township Police <a href="https://www.timesleader.com/news/local/682255/crews-narrow-search-for-missing-nanticoke-man-to-lake-silkworth" target="_blank">confirmed Monday</a> they were confining their search for Adam Lutz, 22, to the lake itself, saying that&#8217;s where the information they had was pointing them.</p><p>Lake Silkworth Fire Chief Jerry Walker said police had postponed the search until the weekend.</p><p>Dive teams and search and rescue teams had been combing the area since Thursday evening, when security footage showed Lutz pulling his car into a parking lot near the lake, exiting his vehicle and walking in the direction of the water.</p><p>Walker said some volunteers had been walking around the lake Tuesday, but it was another day with no results.</p><p>On Monday, dogs trained in picking up the scent of humans identified an area of interest in a section of the lake when they were taken out on boats to smell the air. But that is the closest thing available to information regarding Lutz&#8217;s whereabouts.</p><p>Walker said teams would be brought in once again this Saturday to begin searching, but he was unable to confirm if they would be the same crews that had been used throughout the process.</p><p>&#8220;We&#8217;ll take it one day at a time,&#8221; Walker said in a text message.</p><style>
