Reports: PSU’s Moorhead expected to become head coach at Mississippi State

State commits funds to clean up former manufacturing property for renovation by Wilkes U.

<p>WILKES-BARRE &#8212; NEPA&#8217;s pancake lovers can now rejoice as they will no longer have to travel out of the area to get a taste of IHOP&#8217;s signature breakfast items.</p><p>Currently, the closest International House of Pancakes, known as IHOP is in Allentown.</p><p>However, a representative from the franchise&#8217;s corporate headquarters in Glendale, Calif., confirmed to the Times Leader Tuesday that the restaurant is expected to open in Wilkes-Barre in April 2018. Construction is currently under way at the location, 770 Kidder St., which is right in front of Days Inn.</p><p>The facility will have the capacity to seat approximately 160 guests and will be open 6 a.m. to 10 p.m., seven days a week, with a possibility of moving to a 24-hour schedule at some point, said Adam Korn, a senior communications manager with IHOP, in an e-mail.</p><p>Besides buttermilk pancakes, IHOP is also known for its omelettes, french toast and hickory smoked bacon.
