<p>SCRANTON &#8212; A Wilkes-Barre man was sentenced Wednesday to 10 months in prison for his role in a drug trafficking organization in Luzerne County.</p><p>Nelson Soto, 44, took part in a conspiracy to distribute heroin, cocaine and crack cocaine, according to U.S. Attorney David J. Freed.</p><p>The organization trafficked over 100 grams of heroin &#8212; roughly equivalent to 4,000 individual doses &#8212; along with 28 grams of crack.</p><p>Soto pleaded guilty earlier this year to charges of conspiracy to distribute and possession with intent to distribute heroin as part of a plea deal.</p><p>The exact terms of the deal were not released by prosecutors, but Soto admitted he was responsible for trafficking fewer than 10 grams of heroin.</p><p>Soto&#8217;s indictment comes after a year-long investigation that was conducted by the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration, State Police and the Wilkes-Barre Police Department.</p><p>Assistant U.S. Attorney Sean A. Camoni prosecuted Soto.</p><style>
