<p>SCRANTON &#8212; A Dunmore man has been charged with allegedly robbing 14 banks, including one in the Wyoming Valley.</p><p>If he&#8217;s found guilty, he could face life in prison.</p><p>William Fischer, 45, robbed 14 banks around Northeastern Pennsylvania between Dec. 1, 2015, and Sept. 13, 2017, prosecutors say.</p><p>Fischer was also charged with robbing 12 of the banks while armed, and he is also facing charges of brandishing a firearm during a crime of violence.</p><p>Fischer&#8217;s alleged crime spree garnered $203,779. So far, law enforcement has recovered only $16,769 of the stolen money.</p><p>Fischer is being implicated in robberies ranging from Gouldsboro in Wayne County to West Pittston, where police say he robbed the PNC Bank in January.</p><p>Prosecutors are seeking the forfeiture of 14 weapons, including handguns, rifles, shotguns and assault rifles plus assorted ammunition and a ballistic vest that were all seized.</p><p>Authorities are also looking for the forfeiture of a Scranton property.</p><style>
