Toni Amato cut loose with 22 points Wednesday and Wyoming Valley West built a 14-point halftime lead while overwhelming Honesdale, 61-42 to capture the consolation game of the Wyoming Valley West Tip-Off Classic.Amato hit three 3-point field goals to spark the Spartans, who shot out to leads of 19-13 after the first quarter and 32-18 by the break. Valley West put the game away by outscoring the Hornets, 17-9 in the third quarter.Grace Giza added 13 points in the victory, while Nicole Boutanos and Lindsey Gruver combined for 15.Alexa Jones led Honesdale with 12 points.Tunkhannock 65,Carbondale 44Abby Ritz and Sam Generotti combined for 33 points and the Tigers used a 39-point second half to pull away from the Chargers.Ritz scored 12 of her game-high 17 points over the first two quarters to get Tunkhannock out to a 26-18 halftime lead.Generotti hit 10 of her 16 points in the second half.
