Collection boxes are placed at the Toyota SportsPlex on Coal Street in Wilkes-Barre. There will also be a collection box at the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins home game on Dec. 8. New and gently used coats for adults and children are being collected at Eye Care Specialist locations in Berwick, Dallas, Hazleton, Nanticoke, Scranton and West Pittston.</p><p class="n_ 8 v1"><strong>Polar Express Pajama Party, </strong>children and caregivers welcome to watch &#8220;The Polar Express&#8221; at 6 p.m. Dec. 15 at the Mill Memorial Library, 495 E. Main St., Nanticoke. The library will provide hot chocolate, cookies and a special keepsake for attending. The evening will wrap up with light refreshments. The interactive multi gauge model train layout will have 20 buttons for the youngsters to activate and operate accessories and trains plus the Dallas Township Bicentennial HO gauge layout. You will see downtown Dallas from &#8220;way back when&#8221; a trolley and railroad traveled through the area, ice cutting on the lake, and the trestle over Carverton Road in Trucksville. If you have trains in your attic or basement and want to see if they still operate, bring them with you and experienced model engineers will test them on our multi guage test tracks.
