5 ways to assess whether the GOP tax plan is delivering

<p>Twice this week, I slept until noon.</p><p>It was awesome.</p><p>There probably will be few opportunities for that once I finish college. What&#8217;s wrong with indulging in a little laziness, especially when in two weeks you know you&#8217;ll be working yourself to death again?</p><p>In all honesty, I don&#8217;t think I can keep this up. Oversleeping probably makes me feel just as bad as not sleeping enough, which is one of the most annoying things about the human body. You can&#8217;t win.</p><p>But there&#8217;s something special about rolling out of bed at noon, ordering a pizza and watching TV. I work in the evenings, so this particular winter break is ideal for this kind of lackadaisicality.</p><p>I&#8217;ve decided that I am giving myself this week to be an amorphous blob of apathy, and next week I will get it together and probably clean something.</p><p>This is my way of making up for the fact that the first half of break felt primarily like crunch-time for Christmas shopping and then an endless barrage of holidays &#8212; and holidays mean cooking, driving, visiting and wearing things other than pajamas.</p><p>The holidays were lovely, but I deserve this week to myself, and who knows when the next time will arrive when I&#8217;ll be able to sleep until noon?</p><p>Never, probably. I need to savor this.</p><p>However, I&#8217;m not a fan of feeling like I&#8217;m losing an entire day of waking life in favor of frolicking through dreamland. I could have gotten a lot done in those three hours that passed after I decided I wasn&#8217;t waking up at a reasonable hour.</p><p>It makes me feel like I&#8217;m on summer break as an underclassman in high school. I would literally sleep until 2:30 p.m. on some days. That was wild. I don&#8217;t want to experience that ever again (especially because I have no desire to be up until 6 a.m., scrolling through MySpace, as a result of sleeping way too late).</p><p>After a week of sleeping in, pajamas worn far too late into the day, junk food, video games and television, I think I&#8217;ll be ready to put my productive pants back on. Just give me a minute.</p><style>
