<p>WILKES-BARRE &#8212; A city man who admitted to downloading child pornography was sentenced Thursday to state prison.</p><p>Ricky David Halliday, 33, of Henry Street, previously told investigators he prefers to view videos of girls that appear to be between the ages of 12 and 15, referring to them as &#8220;the forbidden fruit.&#8221;</p><p>Halliday pleaded guilty to 101 counts of child pornography on Nov. 15 to avoid possible federal charges and a longer federal prison sentence.</p><p>He walked into the Luzerne County Courthouse on Thursday free on bail, to face judgment on his possession of files depicting children engaged in sex acts. Halliday was escorted out in leg shackles and handcuffs by sheriff&#8217;s deputies, after county Judge David W. Lupas sentenced him to three to six years in state prison.</p><p><a href="https://www.timesleader.com/news/local/647849/police-charge-wilkes-barre-man-with-100-counts-of-child-pornography" target="_blank">Halliday was arrested in March</a> after county detectives Chaz Balogh and Lt. Gary Capitano investigated a tip to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children about a Twitter user downloading child pornography.</p><p>Balogh and Capitano traced the Twitter account to Halliday, who admitted he used two laptop computers and his cell phone to download and view videos of children engaged in sex acts, according to a criminal complaint.</p><p>He claimed he had been looking at child pornography between four to five years prior to his arrest.</p><p>Upon his release, Halliday will be required to register his address and employment for 45 years as a sexual predator under the state&#8217;s Megan&#8217;s Law.</p><style>
