Their ‘Night to Shine,’ and shine they did

<p>HAZLETON &#8212; A Hazleton man already facing a drug trafficking trial in Luzerne County Court was hit with more drug charges Friday.</p><p>State Police say Kevin &#8220;K.B.&#8221; Brown, 38, sold heroin mixed with fentanyl from his East Birch Street residence on June 3, 2016.</p><p>A few days after the alleged sale, Brown was one of seven men arrested by the state Office of Attorney General on allegations they distributed significant quantities of heroin, crack cocaine and fentanyl throughout the Hazleton area.</p><p>Brown&#8217;s latest charges are separate from the drug trafficking trial that is scheduled for this month before Judge Michael T. Vough.</p><p>His trial has been continued several times during the latter half of 2016 and 2017.</p><p>According to criminal complaints:</p><p>Brown and Harold &#8220;H&#8221; Murray, 49, last known address of East Green Street, Scranton, were identified as the men who &#8220;ran the show,&#8221; selling heroin and crack cocaine from Brown&#8217;s residence on East Birch Street.</p><p>Informants made controlled purchases from Brown and Murray, as well as Tamir &#8220;Savage&#8221; Johnson, 21, of Hazle Township, Reginald &#8220;Uncle B&#8221; McCoy, 47, of West Hazleton, Eshawn Harrell, 24, of Scranton, and a 15-year-old boy.</p><p>Davion Murray, 29, Hazleton, was also arrested by the Attorney General&#8217;s office when Brown&#8217;s residence was searched. He pleaded guilty to possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance and was sentenced in April 2017 to nine months to 23 months in the county lockup.</p><p>Trials for Harold Murray, Johnson, McCoy and Harrell from their 2016 arrests have not been scheduled.</p><p>Brown, meanwhile, was arraigned Friday on new charges of possession with intent to deliver and criminal use of a communication facility. Bail was set at $25,000 straight on the latest charges.</p><style>
