First Pa. medical-pot dispensary starts selling to customers

<p>WYOMING &#8212; Borough police Thursday charged a woman with assaulting paramedics while being transported to a hospital after a vehicle crash last month.</p><p>Jolene Gubitoso, 35, of East First Street, Wyoming, is charged with two counts each of aggravated assault, simple assault and possession of drug paraphernalia, and one count each of disorderly conduct and operating a vehicle without insurance.</p><p>A preliminary hearing is scheduled March 12.</p><p>According to a criminal complaint:</p><p>Police investigating a crash in the area of 133 E. First St. on Jan. 11 found Gubitoso crying on a curb. She told police she ingested cocaine prior to the accident, and the driver of her vehicle had fled.</p><p>Gubitoso suffered a foot injury in the crash.</p><p>While being transported to a hospital, she punched a paramedic in the face and slapped another paramedic. The incident caused the ambulance to stop to await a police escort to Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center in Plains Township.</p><p>Police found a razor blade with a white substance and two bags with white residue in a purse in Gubitoso&#8217;s vehicle.</p><p>The charges were filed with District Judge Joseph Carmody in West Pittston and mailed to Gubitoso.</p><style>
