<p>BERWICK &#8212; A man charged in the death of a 3-year-old girl in Berwick last year will face criminal homicide charges in Columbia County Court.</p><p>Berwick police on Dec. 12 charged Michael A. Crimi, 19, with the death of Isabella Brown, the daughter of his live-in girlfriend Sierra Brown.</p><p>Police said Isabella Brown was rushed to Geisinger Medical Center in Danville on Nov. 25 after she was found unresponsive with visible head and other injuries. The toddler died three days later on Nov. 28.</p><p>An autopsy revealed the toddler died from multiple blunt force injuries. At least 40 bruises and two abrasions were found on the toddler&#8217;s body, according to the criminal complaint.</p><p>Crimi told police he attempted to wake up Isabella Brown to show her a new television that was delivered to their residence the morning of Nov. 25. When the toddler did not wake up, Crimi says he put her in a bathtub for 20 minutes, then performed CPR before calling 911, the complaint says.</p><p>Crimi was watching the toddler while Sierra Brown was at work. He reportedly told police the toddler had fallen off a toilet and struck her head against the bathtub a few days before she was rushed to the hospital.</p><p>Crimi was captured by U.S. Marshals in Port Orange, Fla., on Dec. 13, a day after an arrest warrant was issued charging him with criminal homicide, aggravated assault and endangering the welfare of children.</p><p>After a preliminary hearing Thursday before District Judge Richard Knecht, the charges were sent to Columbia County Court.</p><p>Crimi remains jailed without bail at the Columbia County Prison.</p><style>

Berwick man will face homicide charges involving death of girl, 3
