<p>The following are recent Luzerne County restaurant inspection reports from the Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture. According to the agency: &#8220;any inspection is a &#8216;snapshot&#8217; of the day and time of the inspection. An inspection conducted on any given day may not be representative of the overall, long-term cleanliness of an establishment. Main Ave., Scranton: regular inspection; in compliance.</div><div> </div><div><strong>Chuck E. Cheese No. </strong><strong>533, </strong>2010 Wilkes-Barre Market Place, Wilkes-Barre: regular inspection; out of compliance. Violation: Food employees observed in prep area, not wearing proper hair restraints, such as net or hats. Hairnets were provided. Observed a build up of food residue on the shelves in the walk in cooler. Observed a build up of old food resdiue on the post can opener blade. Can opener was cleaned. Observed a build up of residues on the handles of refrigeration equipment and on the handles on the papertowel dispenser at one handwash sink. Observed water leaking at the backflow prevention device on the water line at the warewash area. Records indicated that the device failed inspection dated 1/22/18 and is scheduled to be replaced. Other back flow devices that also failed the inspection have been replaced. Working containers of cleaner / sanitizer stored on the same shelf with single service articles in the prep area.Chemicals were moved from area. Observed four small fly-like insects on the wall under the front counter. Violation: The walls and ceiling surface of the keg cooler located in the basement has a yeast like residue and is in need of cleaning.</div><div> </div><div><strong>Dollar General No. 15995, </strong>547 E. South St., Freeland: regular inspection; in compliance.</div><div> </div><div><strong>Dollar Tree No. 2240, </strong>1050 Wyoming Ave., Wyoming: regular inspection; in compliance. Violations: Toilet rooms do not have a self-closing door. Soap was not available at the hand wash sink in the men&#8217;s room used by employees area. Soap was placed in men&#8217;s room during this inspection.</div></p><p><strong>Freeland Party Service, </strong>17 Foster Ave., Freeland: regular inspection; in compliance.</p><p><strong>Pocono Mountain Creamery MMF3, </strong>554 Front St., Freeland: regular inspection; in compliance.</p><p><strong>Taco Bell No. 28965, </strong>110 S. Wyoming Ave., Kingston: regular inspection; in compliance.</p><p><strong>Woods Ice Cream, </strong>554 Front St., Freeland: regular inspection; in compliance.</p><p><strong>Big 10 Subs &amp; Pizza, </strong>2889 Rt. 118, Lehman: regular inspection, in compliance. Violations: Red sauce, which was cooled, was not reheated to 165&#176; F within two hours for hot holding. The red sauce was placed in a crock pot to reheat and after one hour was 97&#176; F. The sauce was removed from crock pot, placed in a pot and was reheated to 165&#176; F before being placed into crock pot for hot hold at 135&#176; F or above. Food facility does not have available sanitizer test strips or test kit to determine appropriate sanitizer concentration.</p><p><strong>Campfire Cafe, </strong>2203 State Rt. 118, Hunlock Creek: regular inspection; in compliance. Violations: Non-food contact surfaces (fan guard in the walk-in beer coolers) not cleaned at a frequency to preclude accumulation of static dust.</p><p><strong>El Rey Del Bistec Restaurant, </strong>561 Alter St., Hazleton: change of owner inspection; in compliance. Violations: Side and front covers are missing on ice machine cuber head. Thermometers for ensuring proper temperatures of food are not available or readily accessible. Floors in food prep area have build up of traffice dirt. Non-food contact surfaces not cleaned at a frequency to preclude accumulation of dirt and soil.</p><p><strong>Fierro&#8217;s Food Market, </strong>846 lattimer Rd., Lattimer Mines: regular inspection; in compliance.</p><p><strong>Hazle Township Early Learning Center, </strong>1400 W. 23rd St., Hazle Township: regular inspection; in compliance. Violation: Final rinse water pressure is registering 10 psi rather than 15 psi - 25 psi as prescribed by manufacturer in final rinse.</p><p><strong>Hazleton Career Center, </strong>1451 W. 23rd St., Hazleton: regular inspection; in compliance. Violations: Final rinse water temperature gauge is inoperative. Final rinse water pressure in final rinse cycle of dish machine is registering 52 psi rather than the 15 psi-25 psi as prescribed by manufacturer.</p><p><strong>Pantry Quick #5, </strong>586 Alter St., Hazleton: regular inspection; in compliance.</p><p><strong>Samy&#8217;s Bar &amp; Grill, </strong>428 E. 2nd St., Hazleton: regular inspection, in compliance. Violations: Floor tiles deteriorated in food prep area. Paint peeling on ceiling above dish machine. Thermometers for ensuring proper temperatures of food are not available or readily accessible. Food facility does not have available sanitizer test strips or test kit to determine appropriate sanitizer concentration.</p><p><strong>Spencer&#8217;s Western Cafe, </strong>756 State Rt. 118, Sweet Valley: regular inspection; in compliance. Violations: Food facility has not retained the most recent sample report for the non-public water system on file, as required. Facility had to call the Laboratory to obtain the results via email.Temperature measuring device for ensuring proper temperature of equipment is not available or readily accessible in the chest freezer and the reach-in refrigerator /freezer. Thermometers were placed during this inspection.Exit door located near the rest rooms area of the food facility has a gap at the floor door junction, and does not protect against the entry of insects, rodents, and other animals.Exit door located in the kitchen area of the food facility has a gap at the top and bottom of on the left side,and does not protect against the entry of insects, rodents, and other animals.Working spray bottles in prep area, used for storing bleach and degreaser taken from bulk supplies, were not marked with the common name of the chemical. The bottles were labeled during this inspection.</p><p><strong>Adelina&#8217;s Restaurant, </strong>166 S. Mountain Blvd., Mountain Top: regular inspection; in compliance. Violations: 3 spray containers of perfume are stored on shelf by food items in dry storage area.Left door gasket on bain narie is torn.Interior rim of pizza unit above food pans has build up of mold like residue. Cleaned / sanitized during inspection.Floor tiles broken / missing by dish machine.</p><p><strong>Dollar General 16039, </strong>748 Wyoming Ave., Kingston: regular inspection; in compliance.</p><p><strong>Grotto Pizza Gateway, </strong>36 Gateway Shopping Center, Edwardsville: regular inspection, in compliance. Violations: The Epoxy floor in front of the fryers and in front of the hot hold units in the pizza making area, that are chipped off/roughened/and is no longer smooth, easily cleanable.Many ceiling tiles in the kitchen and wait staff service are are soiled, dust or dirty and in need of cleaning or replacement.Several ceiling tiles are missing above the walk-in cooler in the dough making area, exposing the area above. In addition there are several ceiling tiles on the left side of cook line, just outside of the dough making room are out of the channeling. There hole in the corner of the ceiling at the left end of the 3 bay sink to allow to flexible pipes to protrude that has a large gap allowing exposure to the area above the ceiling.</p><p><strong>Huffron&#8217;s Mini Mart, </strong>221 Union St., Luzerne: regular inspection; in compliance.Ice Scoop stored lying with food contact surface directly on a cardboard box (unclean surface) next to ice machine. The scoop was cleaned and sanitized and placed inside of a plastic bag during this inspection. Store made ice lacks location of mfg. on bags. Facility made a placard with the manufacturing location and posted it on the freezer door containing bagged ice until stickers/ labels can be obtained. PIC stated facility was stamping bags but the ink comes off with the moisture.Two working spray bottles in prep area, used for storing sanitizer taken from bulk supplies, were not marked with the common name of the chemical. The bottles were labeled during this inspection. Food Facility is not using an approved detergent-sanitizer in both compartments of the two compartment manual ware washing equipment. Facility was using Pro-Power Pro San Sanitizer-disinfectant in one of the two bays of the sink to sanitize utensils and equipment. The facility obtained an approved detergent- sanitizer combination during this inspection.Commercially processed refrigerated, ready to eat, time/temperature control for safety food (lunch meat and cheese), located in the deli case, and held more than 24 hours, is not being marked with the date it was opened. Meats and cheeses were dated marked during this inspection.</p><p><strong>III Guys Rest &amp; Sports Bar, </strong>95 N. Mountain Blvd., Mountain Top: Soap was not available at the handwash sink in the kitchen area. Corrected during inspection. Fan guards in walk in freezer have build up of static dust.</p><p><strong>Lynderella&#8217;s Deli, </strong>1111 Main St., Swoyersville: regular inspection; in compliance.</p><p><strong>Puff N Stuff, </strong>13 N. 4th St., West Hazleton: regular inspection; in compliance.</p><p><strong>Wheels Bar &amp; Grill, </strong>5222 Nuangola Rd., Mountain Top: regular inspection, in compliance. Violations: Paint on ceiling in store room is blistered/peeling. Thermometers for ensuring proper temperatures of food are not available or readily accessible. Floors in food prep area have build up of traffic dirt. Exterior surfaces of dish machine are not cleaned at a frequency to prevent build up of grime. Interior surfaces of dish machine have build up of mineral deposits.</p><p><strong>American Legion Black Diamond Post No. 395, </strong>386 Wyoming Ave., Kingston: regular inspection; in compliance. Violation: Non-food contact surfaces not cleaned at a frequency to preclude accumulation of dirt and soil. The fan guard inside of the Coors refrigeration unit located at the bar had a build up of black grime and is in need of cleaning.</p><p><strong>Convenient Mart 3037, </strong>610 S. Main St., Pittston: regular inspection; in compliance. Violations: Men&#8217;s restroom does not have a self-closing door. Observed a build up of dust on the fan guards in the walk in cooler. Food facility does not have available sanitizer test strips or test kit to determine appropriate sanitizer concentration. The handwash sink in the prep area was blocked by equipment and not accessible at all times for employee use. Containers of cleaner and antifreeze were observed stored on the same shelf with food and single service articles in the storage area. Items were relocated during this inspection.</p><p><strong>Dunkin Donuts, </strong>801 Wyoming Ave., West Pittston: regular inspection; in compliance. Violations: Observed three small flies in the front service area. Observed a build up of residues on the non food conatct area on the espresso machine. Observed a build up of residue around the gasket on the drawer refrigeration unit. Observed cracked lid on the bulk sugar bin.</p><p><strong>Kidder Twp. Vol. Fire Co., </strong>4244 State Route 534, White Haven: regular inspection; in compliance.</p><p><strong>Rec Room, </strong>320 Hughes St., Swoyersville: regular inspection; in compliance.</p><p><strong>Walgreens No. 12669, </strong>2100 N. Township Blvd., Pittston: regular inspection; in compliance.</p><p><strong>Whipped Sweet Shoppe, </strong>465 S.
