<p>Do you want to be caught in speed traps everywhere you drive in Pennsylvania?</p><p>Speed Trap Bill SB 251, arming municipal police with radar guns, makes that possible.</p><p>The only reason for radar is to make speed traps plentiful and easy to stage &#8212; for the money. Roads can be made safer for free with best-practices highway engineering. But that&#8217;s not sexy or profitable, so there is no special interest group advocating for that.</p><p>Only those who profit from radar are pushing Speed Trap Bill SB 251. &#8220;Highway Safety&#8221; is the first thing on their lips but the last thing on their minds.</p><p>Traffic tickets are a multi-billion dollar industry. They have virtually nothing to do with highway safety, but they have everything to do with money.</p><p>When you begin to grasp the full magnitude of the public and private interests that depend on ripping off motorists through traffic tickets, you begin to understand why this unethical system continues to expand every year.</p><p>Are your senator and representative going to expand this unethical system in Pennsylvania with Speed Trap Bill SB 251? This election year?</p><p>Tell your senator and representative to kill Speed Trap Bill SB 251.
