Man wanted in York County caught in Ashley

<p>WILKES-BARRE &#8212; A woman accused of punching an 11-year-old girl and assaulting several police officers during a domestic disturbance in Hazleton waived her right to a preliminary hearing in Luzerne County Central Court on Wednesday.</p><p>Vanessa Erazo, 30, of Hazleton, will now stand trial on three counts of simple assault, two counts of aggravated assault and one count each of endangering the welfare of children, resisting arrest, criminal mischief and harassment.</p><p>Prosecutors withdrew two other counts of child endangerment and a single count of aggravated assault.</p><p>Hazleton police investigating a domestic disturbance at a residence in the 500 block of Alter Street on Feb. 15 alleged Erazo punched an 11-year-old girl and an officer. Erazo allegedly struggled with several officers and had to be carried out of the house to a patrol cruiser. But she refused to get inside. Police say Erazo attempted to pull away and kicked an officer in the chest and head.</p><p>District Judge Brian Tupper modified Erazo&#8217;s bail from $50,000 straight to unsecured, which permitted her release from the county correctional facility.</p><style>
