<p>WILKES-BARRE &#8212; An intoxicated man bit by the family dog during an argument with his mother allegedly threatened to kill the pooch with a machete.</p><p>Jayson Matthew Kalson, 33, was later arrested when officers say they spotted the machete in his waistband as they were leaving his North Grant Street residence late Tuesday.</p><p>Here are more details from a criminal complaint:</p><p>Donna Kalson told police Jayson refused to turn down music. She claimed Jayson yelled at her to leave him alone and began throwing and damaging items in his room.</p><p>While Jayson yelled at his mother, he approached her in a threatening manner, causing the family&#8217;s pit bull to bite him in the lower leg.</p><p>The dog ran away after biting Jayson, who grabbed a machete in his bedroom and threatened to kill the dog.</p><p>Donna claimed her son put the machete away when she called 911.</p><p>As officers spoke with Jayson, they detected a strong odor of alcohol on his breath.</p><p>He continued to threaten to kill the dog, but Donna said her son did not threaten her with the machete.</p><p>Jayson followed officers outside, persisting he was going to kill the dog when they left. As he continued to scream, officers arrested him when they spotted the machete tucked in his waistband.</p><p>Police said Jayson was treated at Wilkes-Barre General Hospital for the dog bite.</p><p>He was arraigned Wednesday in Luzerne County Central Court on charges of terroristic threats, disorderly conduct and public drunkenness. He was released on $25,000 unsecured bail.</p><style>
