Allentown man charged with burglarizing Wilkes-Barre business

<p>HAZLETON &#8212; City police arrested a Freeland man after allegedly finding methamphetamine and contraband inside his vehicle during a traffic stop Thursday morning.</p><p>Police said they stopped Robert Jose Borelli, 31, for driving a 1996 Subaru Outback with inoperable rear lights at North Pine and East Oak streets just before 1 a.m.</p><p>Here are more details from a criminal complaint:</p><p>An officer spotted a glass pipe commonly used to smoke meth in the driver&#8217;s door after Borelli stepped out. Police were having the vehicle towed when they discovered the license plate was not registered to the Subaru and the car had no insurance.</p><p>A search of the vehicle revealed a vial containing methamphetamine, 10 films of Suboxone and brass knuckles.</p><p>Borelli also concealed meth and a Suboxone film in his wallet.</p><p>He was arraigned in Luzerne County Central Court on charges of possession of an offensive weapon, possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and four vehicle code violations. He was jailed at the county correctional facility for lack of $5,000 bail.</p><style>
