A man from Danville was captured by U.S. Marshals on charges he impersonated a police officer when he allegedly entered a residence in Berwick on March 8.U.S. Marshal Martin Pane in a news release stated Joshua Depew, 36, was arrested at a business in Danville on Thursday.Berwick police obtained an arrest warrant alleging Depew and others entered a Berwick residence posing as police officers. During the alleged burglary, occupants of the residence were bound behind their backs while Depew and others ransacked the house, according to the news release.Pane said drugs, a shotgun, a police scanner and a tactical vest with no armor was seized when Depew was captured.Depew was charged with six counts of recklessly endangering another person, four counts each of unlawful restraint, false imprisonment and simple assault, and one count each of robbery, burglary, theft and impersonating a public servant. He was jailed at the Columbia County Prison for lack of $250,000 bail.

Danville man charged with impersonating police officer in Berwick
